  1. What happens to the meat after an animal is taken?

    • At Jim Burnworth Safaris, we prioritize responsible and sustainable hunting practices. After an animal is taken, the meat is either donated to local schools and individuals in need or distributed to local markets, contributing to the well-being of the community and the sustainability of the ecosystem.

  2. Can I bring my own gun?

    • Yes, you can bring your own gun. You can download the necessary form from our website, fill it out, and bring it with you. Send the form via email to Darrel William. Additionally, you'll need to take your ID and firearm to the sheriff's office in our local town to complete a proof of ownership form, ensuring compliance with regulations on both the South African and US sides.

  3. Can I bring a non-hunter?

    • Absolutely! Non-hunters are welcome to join the safari experience. They can come for a daily rate of $150 and are invited to participate in activities such as sitting in a blind to observe wildlife and take photos, or simply relaxing by the pool and enjoying the surroundings.

  4. Can I pay in cash?

    • Yes, you can pay in cash. It's a convenient way to avoid the hassle of using a credit card. Alternatively, you can choose to pay partially in cash and partially with a credit card.

  5. Do I need to be vaccinated?

    • No, vaccinations are not required for travel to South Africa. The country is extremely safe, with well-established medical facilities. However, if you were traveling to regions like Mozambique, Tanzania, or Zimbabwe, vaccinations may be necessary. South Africa boasts many world-class hospitals and research facilities.

  6. Should I get travel insurance in case I need to be flown home in a hurry?

    • We highly recommend getting travel insurance. It's better to be safe than sorry, and having insurance coverage can provide peace of mind in case of unexpected emergencies that require evacuation or medical assistance.
